Geoffrey L. Faux, Managing Partner
Geoff Faux, a co-founder and Managing Partner of Caymus Equity, has over 30 years of private equity investing, senior executive, and financial experience focused on the lower middle market. Geoff has extensive experience in acquisitions, mergers, and operations, and he has assisted numerous management teams in achieving their growth potential. Geoff’s expertise includes leading numerous transactions, growing existing platform companies, working with successful management teams, and attracting key executives.
In 2001, Geoff was the founder of Caymus Partners LLC, a merchant banking firm focused on financial advisory and principal investing exclusively in the lower middle market in a variety of industry segments including business services, healthcare services, and consumer and niche manufacturing. In 2009, Geoff was the co-founder of Caymus Equity Partners LLC, which was formed to be the exclusive private equity investing vehicle for Caymus Partners.
Prior to founding Caymus Partners, Geoff was a senior executive of Orthodontic Centers of America, Inc. (“OCA”), a former New York Stock Exchange company, for nearly four years, including over two years as President and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. During his tenure at OCA, Geoff was responsible for the operations of the company and played a key role in building OCA’s infrastructure and driving significant growth. During this time, OCA completed numerous acquisitions, grew revenues in excess of 200% to nearly $250 million and net income nearly 200%.
Prior to OCA, Geoff spent fifteen years with several major investment banking firms, including Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated, Bear Stearns & Co., Inc., and Prudential Securities, Inc., providing merger & acquisition and financing advice exclusively to middle and lower middle market companies. During his investment banking career, Geoff executed over 100 transactions accounting for over $6 billion in transaction value.

J. Oliver Maggard, Managing Partner
Ollie Maggard, a co-founder and Managing Partner of Caymus Equity, has more than 32 years of private equity investing, sales and marketing, and financial experience focused on the lower middle market. Ollie has assisted numerous companies in achieving growth targets by attracting executive management, building infrastructure and guiding long-term strategic plans.
Beginning in 2003, Ollie was a Managing Partner of Caymus Partners LLC, a merchant banking firm focused on financial advisory and principal investing exclusively in the lower middle market. In 2009, Ollie was the co-founder of Caymus Equity Partners LLC, which was formed to be the exclusive private equity investing vehicle for Caymus Partners.
Prior to joining Caymus Partners, Ollie spent seven years as a Partner of Regent Capital Partners, a private equity firm that was focused primarily on lower middle market companies in the consumer and business services industries.
Many of his 20 investments made with Regent Capital were consistent with the strategy followed by Caymus Equity Partners. Ollie served on the board of several of those companies and was instrumental in assisting those companies in achieving their goals.
One of Ollie’s primary investments was Buffalo Wild Wings (NASDAQ: BWLD) and during his investment, Ollie was instrumental in assisting the management team grow the company from $34 million in revenues to over $126 million. Ollie has assisted the company in providing strategic planning, assistance in recruiting, and retaining key members of management, fostering growth and enhancing operating performance. In addition, Ollie assisted in guiding the strategic planning that led the company to open more than 150 restaurants in three years to reach 245 stores in 29 states. Ollie continues to be a director of Buffalo Wild Wings and is actively involved in all board-level decisions. Currently, Ollie is the chairman of the audit committee and a member of the executive and compensation committees for Buffalo Wild Wings.
In addition, Ollie has more than 13 years of experience at major investment banking firms, including tenure with Kidder Peabody & Co., Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated, and E. F. Hutton & Co. Ollie has executed over 80 transactions which collectively represent over $6 billion in transaction value. Ollie’s industry experience includes consumer products, media, business services, niche manufacturing, restaurants, and retailing.

Blake A. Cummings, Vice President
Blake Cummings, a Vice President at Caymus Equity, is active in all aspects of the firm’s activities, with a focus on leading the evaluation and selection of new investment opportunities, structuring and executing transactions and assisting with the strategic and operational management of current portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Caymus Equity, Blake worked on the Mergers & Acquisitions team at Consolidated Container Company, a portfolio company of Bain Capital, where he was responsible for acquiring and integrating target companies, establishing joint ventures, and executing the company’s growth strategies. Previously, Blake was a Senior Analyst at Founders Investment Bank, a boutique merchant banking firm focused on merger & acquisition advisory and niche direct investing.

Bennett L. Mears, Associate
Bennett Mears, an Associate at Caymus Equity, is active in all aspects of the firm’s activities, with a focus on supporting Caymus Equity’s principals with the evaluation and selection of new investment opportunities, financial modeling, transaction due diligence and assisting with strategic and operational management of current portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Caymus Equity, Bennett worked for Duff & Phelps, a financial services and valuation firm, in the Valuation Services group, where he was responsible for modeling and executing valuation analysis for private equity portfolios and purchase accounting.

Benjamin W. Bruggeworth, Business Development Analyst
Ben Bruggeworth spearheads the firm’s business development efforts. Ben’s responsibilities include deal origination, the initial analysis of potential opportunities and organizing the firm’s weekly meeting on pending and potential investment opportunities.
Prior to joining Caymus Equity in 2017, Ben was an Investment Associate at Norris Financial Group LLC, a boutique investment advisory firm, where he was responsible for building financial planning models and monitoring client investments.

Nancy S. Faux, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Investor Relations
Nancy Faux is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing Caymus Equity’s funds administration. She oversees finance and administration, human resources, information technology and investor relations. Nancy’s responsibilities include financial reporting and portfolio monitoring. She works closely with the investment professionals to report on the company and financial performance to the limited partners.
Prior to joining Caymus Equity, Nancy was the Chief Financial Officer at High Meadows School. Previously, Nancy worked at The Westminster Schools as the Assistant Director of Facilities. Prior to those positions, she was a Vice President at Citibank, N. A. in their Foreign Exchange Trading Department and Corporate Finance Department. Nancy is a Certified Public Accountant.
